As soon as Jazz practice wrapped up Thursday afternoon, Jazz PR came over with the news:
Rudy Gobert would not play in Game 3 of the playoffs.
Head coach Quin Snyder, swingman Joe Ingles and the now-starting center Derrick Favors spoke to the media about how they can adjust to a life minus the Stifle Tower.
The coach and players also touched on an ongoing investigation involving Jeff Withey and his former fiancee, Kennedy Summers.
For good measure, Snyder was asked about if his appreciation for Chris Paul had gone up since seeing him in two consecutive playoff games. Here was his answer:
No, because it can’t go up. I mean, there’s no way that I can respect Chris Paul more than I do. For all the reasons that you could suggest that it goes up, it doesn’t because it’s already as high as it can be, whether it’s his ability to control a game scoring, his ability to get other people involved, his ability to defend — he just does whatever he has to do to help his team win. I’m painfully aware of that at some points.
