As the Jazz head into the final 18 games of the regular season starting on Wednesday night at Houston, radio voice David Locke joined “The Big Show” to talk about the home stretch and what to expect from this team.
Unfortunately, Locke isn’t sure what to make of the Jazz right now.
“My totally honest, 100%, complete answer? I have no idea. I have areas where I’m very optimistic. When I plug the lineup data and see how certain combinations are working…I really get excited.
“The season to this point is pretty remarkable. For them to have won 40 games…I think the fact they are 30-7 against teams below .500 is an incredible testament to how hard they play every night and how consistent they’ve been.
However, there are some negatives that have Locke raising one eyebrow.
“Some of the sideshow aspects of just the NBA season and all the things going on, I get a little nervous. I don’t know where this team is right now.”
With just 18 games left before the postseason, it’s officially crunch time for the Jazz.
“Now it’s time to grind, and I’m curious to see how this team grinds. I don’t know the answer. I can’t tell you I think everything’s perfect, but I don’t have any evidence that anything’s wrong, but I don’t like some of the things I’ve seen recently in how they’ve played so let’s see if they can play better here coming up.”
