David Locke joined DJ & PK on Friday morning to talk NBA Free Agency and Gordon Hayward. He said that he’s heard the Hayward is seeking a four year contract with a player option on the final year. He added that he’s not feeling very confident about Hayward re-signing in Utah. He said the goal for Hayward is to get himself back into the free agent market when he hits the ten year mark in the NBA which opens up a contract that pays him the so-called “supermax contract.” Locke said the pitch or stroy the Utah Jazz and Dennis Lindsey have to tell is a good one because of the success in building the Jazz back up on the back of Hayward and a major assist from Rudy Gobert. Locke also talked about some other targets the Utah Jazz could look at in free agency, which begins tonight at 10 pm MDT.
