Spence & Gordon got into it about whether or not the Jazz would benefit more from making the playoffs or playing the young guys. They were both in agreement that youth development is important, but they differed in opinion when it came to the importance of making the playoffs for a franchise's pocket book. Spence said making the playoffs means so much more to a smaller market, like the Jazz, for the extended revenues, while Gordon says you've got to take losses/missing the playoffs when developing youngsters, might as well do it now.

Sam joins us every Thursday at 4pm and talked a lot about how the Jazz are reeling lately, and he doesn't see them making the playoffs. Sam is surprised the Lakers have been able to turn it around, but that last night's game vs the Hornets showed Kobe & co's resolve to make the playoffs, and Sam would now be surprised if they DON'T make it.
Props to Gordon for joining us from Chicago, the day after such a heartbreaking loss in Cleveland. Gordon mentioned how frustrating it was for the Jazz to have LOST the game, rather than the Cavs WINNING it. Gordon also said that Al Jefferson looked fine in practice on Thursday, but is a gametime decision. "He's somebody we need, especially offensively. He's a go to guy for us. I don't know how he felt after the practice, but during it he looked fine to me."
