BYU has 10 former players playing in the NFL currently. As a part of the “Hatch of Knowledge” series I will be collecting how each player performs throughout the 2013 season and compiling their stats for you to read up on weekly. Without further ado, here’s how Week 3 of the NFL Season went for the former Cougars.
2013 NFL Season Week 3
Vic So’oto tweeted out yesterday that he has been picked up by the Cardinals.
Dennis Pitta is on the Injured Reserve List With a Designation to Return. The Ravens hope he will be able to return in late November or December.
Harvey Unga is on the Bears practice squad.
Ezekiel Ansah had a memorable performance on Sunday against the Washington Redskins. Ansah had 7 total tackles (3 solo), 2 sacks, and a forced fumble in the Lions’ 27-20 victory. On the season, Ziggy has 11 tackles (6 solo, 2.5 sacks, and a FF.
Matt Reynolds is on the Chiefs’ Practice Squad.
John Denney has started all 3 games at long snapper for the Dolphins during their 3-0 start.
Brett Keisel has been a rock for the Steelers even as the team struggles early on this season. On Sunday in a 40-23 loss to the Chicago Bears Keisel registered 4 solo tackles and a sack. On the season, Keisel has 13 tackles (9 solo) and a sack.
Hebron Fangupo has not made the active game roster for the Steelers this season.
St. Louis Rams
Braden Brown reached an injury settlement with Rams this past week making him a free agent.
Bryan Kehl had 1 solo tackle in the Redskins 27-20 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. On the season, Kehl has 3 solo tackles playing mainly a reserve and special teams role.
