GAME 6: JAZZ 113 ROCKETS 91…GRAHAM SLAMS FROM THE ESA
May 2nd, 2008

Listen to Post-game interviews of Williams/Sloan/Boozer/McGrady/Adelman in the audio section of the website.

-Except for a 2nd quarter lapse featuring a red-hot TMac, the Jazz take care of business and look like the team that played at their peak during the regular season.  They shared the ball and ran the offense, dominated the paint, controlled the boards, hit open perimeter shots, did not turn the ball over and got big production from the bench.  The total opposite of how they played in Game 5.  Boozer was more aggressive but is still struggling with his shot.  Williams dominated the 2nd half particularly the 3rd quarter.  Now it’s on to the Lakers, a team well rested and confident.  The Jazz have to play even better than Friday to stand a chance.  I just think though the Lakers have too much with Kobe and Gasol and should win in 5.

-You have to give Houston kudos for how hard they play.  Down by 19 in the 2nd quarter they mounted one of the better comebacks you’ll ever see.  TMac was unbelievable setting a Jazz opponent playoff high for points in a half with 28.  Once again when they needed him most though in the 3rd quarter he was nowhere to be found.  They also supported my theory that they are streakiest shooting team in the NBA, they went from scoring 32pts in the 2nd quarter to just 11 in the 3rd.  Obviously the damaging blow was Alston leaving the game with a badly sprained right ankle.  This team though will be one to keep an eye on next season with Ming returning.  They have a lot of heart.
