Pics above: Truly Beauty and the Beast and then the lovely Pocahontas…

Good to be back and able to survive the trip to see the Mouse in Florida.  Unfortunately my wallet is a lot lighter than it was when we left and after walking about 50 miles over the course of last week I think I need another vacation to recover from this one.  Here are some random thoughts/tips if you ever decide to go to Disney World:

-I’m not kidding.  Be prepared to walk and walk and walk and then stand and stand and stand in lines.  I think we spent more time in lines than we did actually doing productive things.

-Use the Fast Pass.  That actually cuts the line time down a bit on the rides.  Favorite ride: The new Everest Coaster at Animal Kingdom.

-If you stay at the resort invest in the value meal plan.  While confusing at first it actually is the way to go and a better deal. 

-Be prepared.  Read about where you want to go and when before getting there and lay out a plan.  Plus make dinner reservations way before you make the trip.  We didn’t and wasted way too much time trying to figure out what we wanted to do plus find places to eat.

-Saw four princesses in person.  Cartoon wise I would rate Pocahontas one followed by Sleeping beauty, Cinderella and then Belle.  However in person Belle would be #1 followed by Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Pocahontas. 

-From a sports perspective I saw more Ohio State gear being worn followed closely by those wearing Michigan gear.  I would say Georgia and West Virginia were a close 3rd.  I didn’t see one Ute or Cougar fan during the weeks stay.

-As for all my predictions before I left I think I was wrong on every one.  No shock there.

-Jazz random thought…This team is good enough to win the title but over the course of this season has shown they could also lose in the first round.  How the seedings end up will determine how far they will go.
